ABOUT ME

I joined Wikinews back in June 2009. Since then I have become more and more involved in the site, writing articles and generally maintaining it. Many of my articles are standard news stories, that every news organisation carries. These are nothing special, but are integral to showing Wikinews is a viable and interesting alternative to other sites. However, my most important contributions to the site are the original stories which are found nowhere else. These are mainly interviews and can be found under the articles heading below.

I am an accredited reporter here. This means that I have been supported by the Wikinews community in my writing and have demonstrated commitment to NPOV, our neutral article writing stance on Wikinews. I am now officially vouched for by Wikinews, which allows me to get press passes for events I want to cover and also provides me with an email address-tristan.thomas@wikinewsie.org.

I am also an administrator. This again means that I am trusted by the Wikinews community to carry out mainly housekeeping tasks around the website-things like deleting spam pages and editing protected pages. It by no means that I am never wrong, so if you have a question about an action I've taken, please feel free to ask on my talk page. It does mean however, that I am very willing to help; both new and old users, so don't hesitate to ask.
