This page is the Wikinews equivalent of Wikipedia's awareness statistics. Its purpose is to collect a wide range of data within regular intervals on how Wikinews is perceived on the Internet and offline. See also Wikinews:Modelling Wikinews' growth. Note this is most likely quite outdated.

To date, July has yielded 28,500 average individual visits per day.

This is a calculation of the visits per day on selected days. It is based on Wikinews Usage Statistics - the statistics on that page no longer display visits per day, a vital statistic we use for the following data.

News Article Count[edit]
Many of the pages created each month here at Wikinews are talk pages, user pages, admin pages, so it can be difficult to grasp how many news articles are published each month. That's why I've compiled the following information from old categorizations and digests. It should be fairly accurate, althought the figures will not add up to the total number of legitimate articles according to the stats page. This is due to a) less reliable figures for dec and nov, exclusion of pages such as tsunami help, exclusion of pages never properly published on main page - but still in existence.

As of March 22, 2006: 4,018 subscribers. A typical story has 300 reads.
- Update on RSS feed circulation: readership jumped from 5,500 to 21,000 on December 12 2006, and then increased again to 36,000 on December 20. Currently just over 30,000 readers access the RSS feed each day. Get writing, people are reading! Dan100 (Talk) 14:59, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
