Semi-protected refers to a security measure which limits the ability of new accounts and anonymous IPs to edit a page. Such a protection is usually used when an article has been the target of repeated anonymous vandalism or page moves by accounts just created to move pages.

Semi-protection is not intended to be a long-term action, and this category is a useful way to regularly review pages which have been semi-protected and try to get them unprotected in a reasonable time frame.
