Does anyone else think there was more going on here then reported? How do you look suspicious dropping off a box at a UPS drop box? Hell, even if you had a long beard, a turban, a shemagh, and an AK-47, you still wouldn't look suspicious in Buffalo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.226.230.36 (talk) 17:34, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The box is currently under a building over hang. The street is a very busy street. it is quite possible the person double parked on the street, ran up to the box in a hurry so as not to get a citation, maybe fumbled a little and ran back to his car. I think that the people who reported the incident did the right thing. I am waiting for the day that someone sees something like this incident, or like you described, and don't report it. That result could be catastrophic. The odds are like 1 in 10 million. This had every possibility of being the 10 millionth time, no matter how unlikely it is. a new form of terrorism?[edit]

How soon before would be terrorists just call in a suspicious package report and do nothing else? This article demonstrates that this can close a busy street for three hours. Or worse, will there come a day when "being scruffy while carefully putting an empty shoebox in a trash can" is considered criminal? --Divad271812 - (talk) 23:38, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I belive that there is nothing inside that stupid package any way and they just don't want to make theirselves lokk stupid saying that there is nothing in there. when they called in a bomb squad for no reason!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.15.55.42 (talk) 20:40, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
