The company has not collapsed. The company has only filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection for it's U.S. companies and one non-U.S. company. During, and since the bankruptcy filing there have been contributions made by investors to keep LyondellBasell operating during the bankruptcy process. As of this posting LyondellBasell is very much still functioning as a company, and in fact, some locations have picked up more business since the start of 1Q 2009.
