It is the Olympics after all. It is supposed to be international. Politics are supposed to be put aside. That is why it was hosted in the USSR when they were the "global evil". But yes, as the IP said... Money has alot to do with it. Whom ever is willing to SPEND serious cash to make a place suitable for the Olympics, will get it. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 20:36, 31 July 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by ShakataGaNai (talkcontribs) [reply]
Not sure why Sinebot decided you needed an extra sig, maybe because you have no link to your Wikinews user page. --Brian McNeil / talk 20:45, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yea, Anon also pointed that Sine hates me. Consider this a test. If it signs me again I'll fix my sig. Thanks. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 20:55, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

however, during the days when Wikipedia was still blocked, the HTTPS server didn't work either. so it's never quite a solution to GFC. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Phoeagon (talkcontribs) 01:46, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

i agree that the games shouldn't involve themselves with politics, but strong human rights violations transcend mere politics. china should not have received the games, IMO. - Imind (talk) 18:22, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
