Intellectual property

Intellectual property = tyrany.

We the people can still checkmate the copyright nazis, like in Spain, where no cash gained - no crime.

I am using Firefox, on Ubuntu, posting on wikipedia, hosted on a linux server.

In the real world they may own our bodies, but in our PC's, our soul is free...

For the moment.

We are legion.

Actually, you're posting on Wikinews. But the sentiment is agreeable, even if Godwin is invoked.

Once again lobbyism, the big money (corporations) and government win against common sense, the intellectual community and the soul of present day (copyleft, digital distribution, etc). And that at one of the most developed countries in the world. What a shame...

Know your enemies.

With the extension of copyright beyond the reasonable social contract underlying the concept, pubic respect for IPRs will diminish, and less licensed material will be sold. Moreover the creation of derivative works which helps fund the industry giants is also chilled.
