Strange logic indeed! What was Pakistan expected to do after they found these Taliban big guns? Sit back and allow them to continue their mayhem? That's what this ex-UN official seems to suggest. It must be remembered that no other country has suffered as much as Pakistan at the hands of these terrorists. The war against terrorism is not Pakistan's was alone but is intended to make the world a safer place to live in. Arresting these leaders will definitely weaken the Taliban and that is exactly what we all want. This UN official seems to be saying that we must allow the enemy to become stronger before we negotiate with them. It very easy to play the blame game but the world must know that the Pakistani nation cannot and will not allow these butchers to have their way. It is only when the Taliban are weak that they will seriously negotiate. The United States must shift its focus from winning the military battle to winning the hearts and minds of the Afghans. This can be done by building more bridges, roads, infrastructure and spreading education amongst the Afghan people. On the whole by giving the people there a better life and bringing them into the 21st century, so that they know what they stand to lose by siding with the Taliban. This will happen only when the realization dawns that Talibanization is a state of mind and killing even tens of thousands of them would not mean the end of the Taliban. UN is trying to shift their failure on Pakistan now. Where were UN peace talks for last 5 years in Afghanistan. Now when finally Pakistan has started to do something about terrorists UN is making a lame excuse to cover their face

UN is trying to shift their failure on Pakistan now. Where were UN peace talks for last 5 years in Afghanistan. Now when finally Pakistan has started to do something about terrorists UN is making a lame excuse to cover their face
