Its all part of evolution, this is no different than watching the dinosaurs die. By 2012 our way of living is going to change drastically wether we want it to or not so i dont understand why we dont just scrap the whole monetary system before someone loses their mind and destroys our world.
That seems a little harsh i think. We need to keep a bit of perspective. The human race has come a long way through centuries of misery, disease, war, and hunger. It would be a shame if we gave up simply because our monetary system was shoddy. Globalization does hold some promise, and as you say we seem to be evolving towards a more cohesive unit, whether we like it or not. We should expect trauma do our best to be prepared, and not lose hope so quickly. We should respect the toil of our ancestors and work towards our ideals. I believe them to be universal, despite what our shallow differences may imply.
