- The Senate does a lot of work with bills. There is no way that the House could have the time to listen to all of the interest groups and committees required for every single bill as well as go over all the fine print. The people who want to get rid of the Senate have no idea how much work someone would have to make up for their input. --Arctic.gnome 16:04, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Under this system, if the government wanted an early election, could they not just intentionally lose a motion of confidence? I believe that has happened in Germany before. The odd thing would be that a minority government trying to force an early election might have the other parties vote for a motion of confidence in the government, only to delay the election. --Xyzzyva - (talk) 05:09, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
