I think wearing camo pattern suit and using military-style weapon and his self-admitted intention to ambush law officers makes him a rebel and committing a murder while trying to overthrow any level of government (be it local, state or federal) makes him eligible for federal capital punishment. I hope he will be sentenced to death and executed and I hope the relatives of the victims will get to see him die over live CCTV circuit. Only that will bring closure to this case.
If this case ends in lesser punishment, the 2nd amendment will suffer. Right to bear and carry lethal arms can only exists if there is responsibility, including lethal responsibility when misusing firearms on innocents.
