Winter Paralympic Games, Sochi.017:54, 3 March 2014

Winter Paralympic Games, Sochi.

In my opinion the aggression demonstrated by the President and Government ministers of the Russian Federation debar the country from holding any Olympic or Paralympic Games. They are in breach of international law, they are in breach of the Olympic spirit, they are in breach of decent ethics. Any presence of Putin at any ceremony or event would be an insult. I am sorry for the athletes, but would suggest that to attend these Games is to morally accept and condone the behaviour of the Russian Federation in their aggression and threat towards Ukraine, and their effective seizure of Crimea from that state.
