So what? Why would anyone give a tinker's cuss about 'a new relationship between man and robot'? Japanese people are weird.

Did you actually read the article or are you just certain that anything that has the word 'Japan' in it must surely be about 'a new relationship between man and robot'?

I read it, I just find it silly that they care about frogs eggs and smells.

And if say these frog eggs were to alert you that a can of nerve gas had been released on the floor below you, would you realize their purpose when your life was saved? The reason we're getting into biological sensors is because the artificial stuff just can't put out as well as the real deal.
