Smoking causes six times as many preventable deaths as alcohol.

Do they mean as harmful as smoking and alcoholism combined, or approximately as harmful as their average?

Now some civil rights lawyer is going to quote this study to shut down solitary confinement as a punishment in prisons.

Actually that seems very likely. From what I've heard, solitary confinement can lead inmates to insanity in some cases.

I agree that loneliness is not healthy.

That I'll be dead in 22 years?
