why evacuate?423:10, 12 October 2011

why evacuate?

Why did everyone evacuate the buildings? I thought it's often safer to stay under a strong table or a doorway.

I think more bowels were evacuated than buildings...156.8.251.250 (talk) 21:55, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

I think it is much safer to evacuate than to to stay in the building incase the building was to break apart you would not want to be inside. I saw where chimineys where falling apart and falling to the ground.

If you're standing out in the middle of a field, the only threat posed to you by an earthquake is that the ground might open up and swallow you alive, I suppose. Pretty common sense, dude.

I don't think the Pentagon has any chimneys.
