Talk about a golden mean fallacy. The Democrats don't want any drilling, the Republicans want to be able to drill anywhere - hey, let's compromise and only let people drill in some places! Now no one's happy.

Obama has clearly lost his scruples. Actually I think they've been surgically excised by ExxonMobil and Goldman Sachs. That's right, Our president has been escrupulated by the corporate powers that be.

They've certainly got him by the balls. So much for "Hope" and "Change"......

There is only one party in the United States, the Property Party...and it has two right wings: Republican and Democrat. Republicans are a bit stupider, more rigid, more doctrinaire in their laissez-faire capitalism than the Democrats, who are cuter, prettier, a bit more corrupt—until recently... and more willing than the Republicans to make small adjustments when the poor, the black, the anti-imperialists get out of hand. But, essentially, there is no difference between the two parties.

This step in the right direction is unnecessarily short. Obama could have easily lifted the ban altogether but instead chose to slightly lessen the ban, thereby allowing only an insufficient amount of drilling when a sufficient amount is not out of reach.

I'm guessing that's supposed to be a facetious take on kooky right-wing apologia?
