Help me get permission to play a short part of a Gap Band song | 0 | 12:38, 17 July 2012 |
My son's favorite music was The Gap Band and he especially loved to drum to "You Droppped a Bomb on Me". Joseph was 6.5 years old when he passed away on 12/19/94. He was born with Down Syndrome and despite language limitations, Joseph was a real Rock Star and deeply loved and missed. He has inspired me from the moment he was born and nothing has changed. Presently, I am in a contest to get a book published and the first round is a personal story video. Of course, mine is about my son and at the end of my video I show yellow balloons being released into the air. A friend suggested having music, but no music had any meaning except The Gap Band's "You Dropped a Bomb on Me". We added it and rightly so, upon uploading to YouTube the copyright infringment barriers came up.I was looking for help to locate someone who might give me permission when I sadly found the article about Mr. Wilson's passing. Any ideas on getting the okay? It is soley for the contest and the music choice is because I feel this is an opportunity to honor my son and the designer music I had to add in, just doesn't cut it. Help!
