Comments:Southwest Airlines to purchase AirTran Airways for US$1.4 billion

Not good for the public and not good for AirTran. The low upgrade fees ($49 to upgrade) will disappear, and passengers will be herded onto and off of the planes like cows going to the pasture.

AirTran had a good thing going on, and Southwest is going to ruin it.

Too bad. Delta here I come!!!
