I will never get why and how bombing a market will help there cause. It makes no sense, bombing a market full of Muslims. I get it if they target a government official or something but Muslims civilians? --75.74.61.245 (talk) 10:49, 19 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think the logic is that changes will be made to stop more innocents dying. It's a seriously dirty trick, and one that never works. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 11:43, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

What do you think about this latest explosion in Pakistan?

[edit]

The responsible for all these deaths is Islam. --79.166.179.37 (talk) 11:36, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Remember that what happenes there doesn't necessarily get in the same "form" to our ears way here. Lots of weasel words, lots of propaganda words, etc. A man bombing a military base occupying his land will be called a "militant", the next outlet will call him an "insurgent", the next one a "terrorist", etc.

And in this case, 79.166.179.37 you are extremely wrong, islam doesn't have anything to do with why that idiot decided to blow up civilians. He most likely thought that by this act he'll make the invaders leave his country. If you'd actually read something from a neutral source you'll see that the great majority of suicide bombings aren't because of islam but because of foreign occupation. Islam is just a tool used by people like al-Zahwari or whatever his name is to recruit insecure people to die for his cause.

Politically motivated retaliation and warfare very rarely requires or urges suicide bombings. Saying Islam isn't involved is turning a blind eye to the history of these bombings, and the fact that they are carried out exclusively by Muslims in these regions of the world, and that the recruiters of these individuals who blow themselves up vocally do what they do in the name of Islam. It's just ridiculous, is what I'm saying, to not hold Islam accountable for these acts. If Islam were not an important factor in these ritualistic suicide bombings, then we should see a similar trend with any other religion under similar situations (occupations, multi-sect national power-grubbing, etc.). We never see even remotely the number of suicide bombings by Christians, Jews, etc. The only comparable thing might be in Japan decades ago during World War 2.
