Incoming Auroras[edit]

I think it will be pretty neat, solar storm = nice lights. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.156.90.113 (talk) 03:33, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Terrorist connection?![edit]

There's probably no connection between al-Qaeda and the sunspots, but just to be sure, we'd probably better spend a few billion dollars on it, and blow up some Muslim country -- oh, say, Tajikistan.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 161.88.255.139 (talk) 22:44, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I thought sun was used as a nuclear dump by the soviets. Sorry, I couldn't resist either. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.153.49.41 (talk) 12:19, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cool, but...[edit]

Yeah, sure, this IS interesting for people who like numerical information like me... but is this story really newsworthy? I mean, it can be predicted, like a new year, right? And people don't write news stories about the new year ITSELF, they write it about EFFECTS of the new year, right? Of course, it did say solar storms are coming in 2011-2012, but, oh, well. here I go again... PurplePerson 01:04, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
