Honestly, it should be mandatory to receive a flu shot. The fact that people still die by the thousands of a disease that more often than not we have a working vaccine for is absolutely ridiculous. Spacehusky 04:41, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I get flu vaccines regularly, anyone here in Belgium who wants one can request it and the cost is 100% reimbursed. (You pay a nominal amount for the doctor's visit). I do so on the basis of my doctor's advice, having had nasty flu a couple of times with one incident developing into bronchitis.
However, the flu vaccine is not a magic bullet, it is a "best guess" at what will be most effective and is an attempt to cover a variety of flu bugs expected to be predominant over the coming 6 months. Realistically, if H5N1 mutated into something readily transmissible between humans a new vaccine would be required. --Brian McNeil / talk 11:01, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, but if I have to choose between the two listed, the U.K's makes more sense. PurplePerson —Preceding comment was added at 00:17, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Read closely![edit]

Ah-ha! The U.K. list of priorities doesn't list politicians anywhere. --Brian McNeil / talk 23:42, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
