Shooting self in the foot

Africa will find it hard to shake off "Dark Ages" stereotypes for as long as countries like Uganda keep up this kind of shit.

Well it seems the Christians and Muslims of Africa have something in common.

What kind of shit? they are moving away from capital punishment which is moving away from the dark ages. Homosexuality, also, is from the dark ages/ancients, it is in no way helping anyones society and is inhibiting development like drugs, crime, and to much hetero sex are. Self indulgence is the worlds worst sin next to lack of ones ability to control them selves.

Africa will REMAIN in the dark ages. Here in South Africa, people, including children are killed on a daily basis to get body parts for "medicine". These body parts are cut from the victims while they are still alive and awake as the more pain is caused the more the ancestors will be pleased. We have witch doctors and Sangomas as ministers in parliament, wearing goat galbladders on their heads when attending the opening of parliament. It is a sad day when youngsters say on national TV that to rape is their CULTURE and RIGHT. AFRICA IS AND WILL REMAIN IN THE DARK AGES. 156.8.251.250 (talk) 20:51, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

I have hope for Africa, actually, including Uganda. If the First World doesn't destroy everything (climate change, etc), the Third World can become just as civilized and safe. Optimism is often foolish, but pessimism can be dangerous.
