interesting and good article --79.233.110.174 (talk) 14:15, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

May we send sympathy to its owners for the great loss of their dog. 20 years is a long time and it is like having a child. may God's blessings be on the family and all who are involved.

Age of Otto[edit]

Telegraph headline states Otto died at age 20. Metro head is 146 dog years (20.9 human years). Story states, "Otto would have been 21 years old 31 days after his death occurred."

Otto is in Guinness Book of Records; accuracy missing.

P.S. Recommend '.. after his death occurred.' be revised to '.. when he died.' 76.100.1.110 (talk) 19:18, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's wonderful you had 20 years with him. And I personally know how painful it is to make the decision you did. I hope their is a heaven so I can see my 5 pekes I've had over the years and one day you'll see your buddy too. May God Bless You.

World's Oldest dog is 20?[edit]

I find that difficult to believe because my dog - Mugsy - was 21 when he passed away. furthermore, when I found him (back in 1984) the vet said he could have been 3 - 5 years old AT THAT TIME. So, in essence my dog Mugsy could have been 24 - 26 years old at the time of his death and is REALLY the world's oldest living dog that died died peacefully April 2005. His brother Dink is 18 and at the rate HE's going he'll break the so-called "oldest dog" record.

our dog turned 20 on august 20, 2010 and is still going strong. her names is betsy and is a mix.

i guess this now makes her the world's oldest dog!!
