As of June 25, 2010, the current president is Ted N. C. Wilson was elected President of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. The election occurred as part of a regular meeting of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. He suceeds Dr. Jan Paulsen who was elected President of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists on March 1, 1999. During this term Dr. Paulsen's office was responsible for the initiation of such programs as Go One Million, Faith & Science Dialogues, and Sow One Billion. Dr. Paulsen has also taken the initiative to open dialogue between the youth of the church through his Let's Talk campaign.Dr. Paulsen turned over the Presidency on June, 2010 when Ted N. C. Wilson was elected the President during the 59th General Conference Session in Atlanta, Georgia.
