Purpose

This template dynamically lists recently published articles for use on Wikinews pages. It retrieves articles from the "Published" category and organizes them by date, including today's articles as well as those from the previous four days.

Usage

If you want to use this template, use {{Latest news/old}} instead.

Features

Uses DynamicPageList (DPL) to generate a list of recently published articles.
Displays articles from the current day, plus the previous four days.
Automatically excludes articles in the "Disputed" and "No publish" categories.

Notes

As of February 17, 2025 this template is still used (linked, not transcluded) on the mobile version of the Main page
The DPL searches pick up any articles that have tomorrow's date as well as today's.
- This may cause problems if there is no Wikinews:Year/Month/day page, or if someone sticks an article in its place.
- This is required for stuff from countries that are significantly + UTC (Eg New Zealand).
- In many cases the portals for these places have been set up to create new articles with a date based on their time zone.
This used to be used by the old RSS feed. It is not used by the new rss feed (In theory the old one still uses it, but it's broken for other reasons
Do not add additional DPL queries to this template without consulting a Wikinews administrator (historically Bawolff).
