Previously, it contained unbalanced, subjective ideas suggesting that
- Zhao is a well-respected reformer
- China is feared
If really to include Fearful that Zhao's death will rekindle unrest.., should add something like Analyst suggests that.. — to make it clearly distinguishable from FACTS, which is what we called NEWS
It is groundless to say The citations support the statement Zhao was a reformer, then we follow what the writer(s) of the cited sources thinks by itself. News itself is a presentation of facts, generalisation of activities happened around the world. It's okay to add comments to an article guiding readers in understanding the news, but must make it clearly identifiable from FACTS. King Ho Cheung 17:36, 23 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- The definition of "reformer" is subjective, not factual.
- I agree with your suggested alteration for the sentence, and will implement it.

- The citations support the statement Zhao was a reformer. I do not see a specific statement that China is "feared" in the article. Your argument is not supported.
- I would like to see the phrases "Fearful that Zhao's death will rekindle unrest, the CPC reluctantly allowed..." because they seem biased against China (though the reluctance, again, is supported by the sources, as is the possible worries about unrest.)
- A more traditional obituary, focusing on the life and accomplishments of the person and not the conflicts, would be welcome as well. That would be a different article, and not this one. - Amgine 17:16, 23 Jan 2005 (UTC)
