Pre-review

Status:    Recommend publish

Version evaluated: 4787138

Notes for author(s):

Corrected a few things, but mostly good. Some notes:

  • We generally spell numbers below 20.
  • They have not captured 17 towns, they captured 9 out of 17 townships.
  • Bangladeshian is not a word, the word is Bangladeshi. Also you need the word "the" beforehand.
  • There is no need to use a piped link unless the words you word displayed and the target page are different.

Notes for reviewer:

  • Should I be worried about the fact that the vast majority of the article comes from the first source and only 2 sentences are needed from the second?

This is a pre-review only and is not part of the official review process. A pre-review is meant to help the article author or authors improve the article and increase the likelihood of getting published. This pre-review was not done by a reviewer and represents a recommendation that can be heeded or ignored.

Neutrality

[edit]

Both source articles mention accusations made against the Arakan Army (AA) of targeting the Rohinga, which the AA denies. I think these accusations are serious enough to be covered in our article to avoid bias-by-omission. Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Published) 16:27, 23 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

At this point its stale. I honestly don't really think it's bias by omission since the actual news event is the army telling them to leave and the core background is that a bunch of people have left in earlier incidents. I think, optimally, this could be included, but it's just not really the point of the paragraphs/story. @Michael.C.Wright Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 00:38, 24 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Stale

[edit]

We have a WN:Fresh policy to make sure we report on news within seven days of the event. After seven days, we mark the article as stale to allow someone to refocus and update the article using more recent news. This is a process we call WN:Gatwicking. If there is a more recent news article for this event, you can Gatwick the article and re-submit it for review. Michael.C.Wright (Talk/Published) 14:17, 24 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
