NPOV?

[edit]

Ya know, technically, this is an NPOV violated story. I understand why it is there, but there are literally thousands of these guys out there. We could do a portal for the volume. Any thoughts on this? -Drew 13:06, 23 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Well, a couple. It's a short article. The authorities happened to have the balance of accessible facts on the topic for now. I did verify the PD claims with a seperate agency. I've also attributed the claim that Keenan is a sex offender to the authorities in each case.
Like any news story, this one can be approached from different sides. Here are four of them: Police, Keenan, Pro-registration, Anti-registration. I'm still working to develop sources on the Keenan POV. For example, I looked for court records on the 2002 rape mentioned. In Maryland, you need an account with the clerk office to get these--as noobie newsie my account isn't activated yet. Sorry. But, just to say, if I were to find something partial to Keenan's POV I wouldn't refrain from reporting on it.
I wouldn't be interested in a sex offender portal. I hope to write about a wider variety of topics from a local, but aspiringly neutral, POV.Tdreid 01:02, 24 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Say I recognized this person at noon-time yesterday at the Garden Bar, and wrongly reported that information here, instead of notifying Crime Stoppers. -Edbrown05 14:02, 23 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your earlier edits, btw. I'm not sure I follow your point above. Why would it be incorrect to mention your findings here? What you do with the Garden Bar information is your choice and your responsibility, isn't it? Tdreid 01:12, 24 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
