Bomber's goal[edit]
It sounds to me like they were trying to make incendiary bombs, by including flammable material like sawdust and newspapers. I would guess that the pressure wave of the explosive overshadowed the heat generated and prevented a large fire from starting in most cases, however. StuRat 19:33, 18 August 2005 (UTC)
