"the virus mutates rapidly to become drug-resistant. The mechanism is not yet known" <- The way this is written it suggests that there is a more rapid mutation rate in some people and that a special mechanism is needed to account for this mutation rate. I so no evidence that suggests this in the NEJM article. The article concludes that finding resistant H5N1 strains is what is expected based on results from other strains of flu and the apparent high growth rate of H5N1 in young humans. --JWSchmidt 14:34, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
