Talk:Both sides of Kenya's constitution dispute are negotiating

i think the contributor, Birkoff, is clearly new to wikinews, and since s/he seems to live in Kenya, so it would be great if s/he could become a regular contributor to wikinews and/or wikipedia.

So i've made a few changes in the direction of an article that is more in a wikinews style, e.g. adding some wikipedia links.

i've put a few bits (OK, only 1 sentence) here for archival purposes, which i removed from the text without replacement:

I believe Kenyans have made a bold intelligent step in the right direction that other Countries ought to follow. (because it's a personal comment)

i'm not sure how reasonable it is to keep the whole paragraph about abortion in - i don't know if this is more of a personal comment or whether these are widely held opinions in Kenya.

Anyway, if anyone is willing to help, please join in and edit! Please remember that most people in Africa cannot edit wikinews - because of the simple fact that they do not have internet access. (Of course, it varies from country to country, city to countryside, etc., but the overall numbers are correct AFAIK.) So let's encourage those people in Africa who do have internet access...

There's a huge amount of stuff in w:Kenyan constitutional referendum, 2005 - so i'm not sure how much of that should be integrated here. Anyway, i've made an effort - others are welcome... Boud 22:26, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I am publishing the article, otherwise it'll get deleted as abandoned. After removing some of the personal opinion, it's become short but does communicate some information, and I'm very happy to see an article about Africa being published. -- IlyaHaykinson - 18:38, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
