Talk:Bright object falls from sky over northwest United States
I personally witnessed the falling object from a friend's house in Portland, Oregon. It started as a spot in the sky, about the brightness of Jupiter, and developed into a brilliant blue-green color of much greater brightness with a long yellowish tail. Quite a sight! — Buckwad 07:37, 13 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Buckwad, how about changing the following paragraph:
The object began as a small white dot roughly the brightness of a planet, and quickly became a brilliant blue-green color with a long spark-like tail of yellow specks. Two flashes of white light were observed as the object neared the Earth.
- to read as follows:
"The object began as a small white dot roughly the brightness of a planet, and quickly became a brilliant blue-green color with a long spark-like tail of yellow specks. Two flashes of white light were observed as the object neared the Earth," reported Wikinews contributor Buckwad.
- If you agree with this change, feel free to make it yourself, or let me know and I will do it for you.
- After this is done, I'll go look for the "original reporting" tag to post it at the bottom of the article. — DV 08:12, 13 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- How about that. The original reporting tag is named "Original reporting". — DV 08:15, 13 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Okay, done. I also already added the original reporting tag to the article :) But I think your suggestion for the format makes it clearer. Thanks again. — Buckwad 08:30, 13 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- The category tag is good, but I was referring to adding the template tag for Original reporting, which highlights the status of this article as having original reporting, which is a relative rarity here on Wikinews.
- I went ahead and added it to the bottom of the article.
