[edit]Surely they shouldn't just be left in if they can't be updated. That's just a bad user experience. I couldn't find any written policy. Should be added to Wikinews:Style guide#External links section. --Pmsyyz 03:33, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Almost all news sources will become dead links as they are moved to archives and removed from free public access. However, by maintaining the link address, Wikinews performs a service as an historical document record - at the time the WN article was produced there *was* a source, at the Canadian government site, which was named in just that way. That may be useful for a researcher at a later date. - Amgine 03:40, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)
