Is this news? Honestly, I see that it might be a big deal in the chess world but we don't publish World #1 tennis player losing do we? Momodamonkey 22:26, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Yes we do, if it is written in an appropriate style. --Brian McNeil / talk 23:02, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
I do not see a problem with this story being on the second lead. It is quite interesting, imo. —FellowWikiNews (W) 23:17, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Quite often we report on Sport. IMO this is an interesting story and quite different to the kind of stuff we normally run - Cartman02au (Talk)(AU Portal) 23:29, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Expansion[edit]

Too late for me to do it, but someone should read the guy's wiki page and expand this. His position as world champion isn't 100% clear, he's avoided some tournaments due to arthiritis, and the match results include draws - which isn't clear in our article. All in all, this is an interesting little piece that encourages people to read wikipedia, a {{wikipediapar}} would allow us to draw on some of that information to expand this article. --Brian McNeil / talk 23:36, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Ray Kurzweil[edit]

When did Kurzweil predict that this would happen? I don't have any of his books here. Nyarlathotep 17:42, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Revised[edit]

After we all fsked up there and the only person to notice this was a copyvio forgot it was up as 3rd lead I've done a hastly rewrite drawing mainly from the Wikipedia article and the prior copyvio. --Brian McNeil / talk 20:01, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

i did not forgot it was the third lead, i just wanted to point out a problem. How an obvious copyvio could come to be the third lead ?
we (me too) need to be more alert. There's a bunch of new contributor, not an easy task ! Jacques Divol
  • Yah, I shouldn't have shouted in the edit summary - sorry. Anyone else want to expand the replacement article? --Brian McNeil / talk 20:13, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
  • it's okay :) Jacques Divol 20:18, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
