I sent an e-mail to the Times-Dispatch writer and copied the contact person at the US Fish and Wildlife Service. A phone call to the Richmond US Attorney's Office could not put me directly in touch with the case worker because of a major computer upgrade there, and then I got lost on hold.
Personally, I don't blame the guy for creaming the alligator with an oar. I would have it mounted too if I could keep it! -Edbrown05 20:49, 22 July 2005 (UTC)
safe swimming?
[edit]I'm moving to coastal Virginia soon and had hoped to be able to swim freely --- any other alligator sightings I should know about? My site for swimming is a tidal creek on the Chesapeake Bay -- eastern shore. Thanks.
