Talk:Four alarm fire in Old City, Philadelphia

I am the original poster. I have cited no sources at this time as I can find none yet. I live in a building attached to the fire scene. As a result, you can consider this an "eyewitness account." There are scores of police, fire department, and helicopters here now. Fire hoses are running through the streets, resulting in their closure. 69.139.75.80 16:51, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm glad you posted this, but we need much more detail then what's currently being provided in the article. Bawolff 05:29, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wikinews strongly encourages original reporting. Since you are an eyewitness it is not that hard to write this story. Just write about what happend and include pictures(if that is possible), etc. Then, it will be published in no time! FellowWikiNews (W) (sign here!) 03:59, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Questions[edit]

  1. Last sentence doesn't read right and needs a he/she somewhere when attributing the owner's statement.
  2. Is "Old City" an appropriate description of the location? I ask because of Camel Case. --Brian McNeil / talk 22:50, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I added a link to Wikipedia to help provide additonal information on Old City, Philadelphia. I think this will be OK. TheVault 01:17, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Old article?[edit]

This articles sources are from Feb. 3. Would it be appropate to publish this 5 days later? I'm not sure if we do that on WN. FellowWikiNews (W) (sign here!) 23:08, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Its okay (mostly because of original reporting). Weather to have the publish date on that date or before is another matter. Bawolff 00:02, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
