this story is news, although it gotten little international attention. shamefully my french is very bad so i can't make much of the article the stories i see link to. someone who can read it better please expand this story. Boneyard 12:06, 26 October 2005 (UTC)

Moi? Je parle un petit peu Francais. However I've found other news published today that impacts Skype. Perhaps there is a story after all. Might need a title change though. I'll add the other articles as sources. Brianmc 16:52, 26 October 2005 (UTC)

I have added a couple of paragraphs to the story to let it be known that French authorities had made it clear that the ban did not affect the general student body and faculty, only research centers and laboratories. It is also important to know that this happens as Skypes has just been purchased by Ebay, a not so respected (nor trusted) gigantic company.
