Similarities with Wikipedia's article

[edit]

The first version of this article [1] was posted on Dec 24, 2007. Wikipedia's article on the same person w:Harald Genzmer had virtually the same text at the time - see, the version posted on Dec 18, 2007 [2].

I checked this because User:UnknownMan, who posted the first version of this article also posted other articles (Sportswriter Milt Dunnell dies at 102, French writer Julien Gracq dies at 97) whose main texts were in large part the same with or very similar to earlier versions of Wikipedia's corresponding articles. (See talk pages of the articles for details).

Now, with this article, the text is rather straightforward statement of basic facts on his career and life. So I am not sure if there is any copyright concern. And even if there is, there might be some possibility for fair use defense (or there might not be - I just don't know about fair use that well).

I am not sure if I should do anything with this article at this point, but I have decided to leave this note in case it helps others who would look into this.
