In the English language, the name of the city (or rather metropolitan area) in question is Montreal. It is in the province of Quebec, Canada. Please note the lack of accents. For a city that is 25% English-speaking (more bilingual than all of Canada), I think you could at least use the correct name in the correct language. --65.94.95.158 14:48, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

I was actually just talking about the spelling of Montreal, not abotu putting it as Laval. However I think Montreal should be used in the headline since it must provide the boradest overview of the story and many people wouldn't know where Laval is. Saying Montreal reveals the true importance (near a major city). However the opening line clarifies that it happened in Laval, which is good.--65.94.95.158 23:22, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the 2000 "collapse" in Laval was not a collapse due to manufacturing defect. As far as I can remember, some beams that were stored on a section of the overpass during construction toppled over and fell on the highway. There was no structural problem. The problem was that of failing to securely fasten stored construction elements.
