why npov
[edit]- Thatcher and Atlee top the list, it is pov-pushing to only highlight one.
- this is one historian's view, needs to be balanced with other views.
- title needs to make it a more clear what this list is - one compiled by one historian's opinion. for instance, Historian Beckett names Thatcher & Atlee greatest Brit PMs.

I can address 2 of those (1st and last) but not the other!! So far this appears to be the only list ofit's kind. Perhaps giving more weight to the 2002 poll for greatest Briton would work? --Tmorton166 10:01, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- thanks for responding so promptly! btw, i put in 'Brit PMs' in the comment, but the title would be better with a more formal 'British PMs', i think. as for the npov, yes, adding the greatest britons as well as taking a line or two from the WP article leads on the PMs will also help. eg, for Mrs. T. WP says something like "has attracted both strong support and opposition" and for A., "In 2004 he was voted as the most effective (Non-Wartime) British Prime Minister in the 20th century in a poll[1] of political academics organised by MORI.". (he's a labour PM, so no need to mention any negatives :)). Doldrums 10:08, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- Ok thanks I'll look into that thing. Shouldnt have rushed the title change oops :D Im more used to writing WP articles than this !! --Tmorton166 10:13, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- no sweat, we've all been there (and will continue to go there now and then). Doldrums 10:15, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- question: do I list the WP articles as sources too? I would assume so.. --Tmorton166 10:27, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- hmmm... WP articles are not usually listed as sources, but since we've used an "opinion" from WP, might as well. have added the MORI poll source. Doldrums 10:34, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- Does it look ok now? Can it be published? I cant think or find anything else to add! --Tmorton166 13:02, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

AtTlee!
[edit]I'm not registered here, so can't edit this... but someone please correct the horrible typo of Attlee's name in the main headline!
Attlee spelling, again
[edit]I don't usually edit here so I don't quite know how you do things, but I added the "editprotected" taq as Attlee's name is STILL spelt wrongly. Can it please be corrected from the current, erroneous "Atlee" in the text? Thanks and best wishes, DisillusionedBitterAndKnackered (talk) 19:16, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
