This story needs additional source, preferably ones that aren't as laudatory as the IPS article. --Simoes 21:28, 4 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

The IPS article mentions several different persons and organizations, and all in agreement that the indigenuous people in Brazil have a tough road ahead despite some progress in getting their land claims recognized.--Tjkphilosofe 04:33, 5 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

I tried to npov and copyedit. Please find a second source, perhaps reporting 1 of the incidents. Neutralizer 14:19, 5 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

I found in the bbc news archives an article written at the time the land claim disputes began.

Also the original ips article is suppose to show that Brazil is making strides to do what other countries for instance Canada and US can't seem to - recognize the original inhabitants.

Nonetheless, IPS is a bit shaky as a source for any Wikinews article. They explicitly claim to be advancing a social goals (as opposed to value-neutral journalism) [1], and most of their articles, including the one cited here, definitely have a POV lean. I recommend an IPS article only be used when there is another source to couple it with. --Simoes 04:32, 19 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
I have started to notice that right now about ips.--Tjkphilosofe 12:54, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
