I live near the Chinese and Korean consulates in Fukuoka. The area is swarming with riot police and right-wing sound trucks. I assume this will be occurring in other major cities too. - unsigned comment by 61.201.156.46

It doesn't seem that any other news agencies are reporting on this yet. Any chance of some pictures? Or more detail about the context? Why have these "right-wing nationalists" started protesting today, when there hasn't been a visit to the shrine in a while? When did the PM last visit the shrine?
