Subject or country?[edit]

Junk food to be banned in British schools would be a more appropriate title. 10:33, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

No it wouldn't. As far as I know, the rule only applies to England, not Wales and Scotland. → CGorman (Talk) 16:38, 2 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"The British Education Secretary" is a member of the British government, no? If the rule only applies to England as you suspect, then the title should say "England". If you feel that not all British schools are impacted (i.e. "Junk food to be banned in British schools" isn't a strong or accurate enough title), then perhaps "Junk food to be banned in England's schools" would be fitting. Japan's English schools are not affected, so "English schools" is (in one sense of "English") not a strong or accurate enough word for the title. Karen 08:10, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

I attend an English school which doesn't ban any foods. Students here learn English, but we are not subjected to dietary control. Teaching is not done by banning here. That is a shame what is happening to British students. 14:15, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
