is there another source for this (wikinews needs atleast two sources). i looked in the newswires and google news UK, nothing turns up yet. Doldrums 14:28, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, VTV is a subscriber-only news-mail service and so I doubt if it can be used as a "public domain" source. However, try www.itvregions.com/wales, as I know that they are in the process of reporting the story on their afternoon television news bulletin.

picture?[edit]

uhh... the picture in the article constitutes a copyright violation; I don't know what wikinews' policy is on this sort of thing, but in wikipedia the image would be removed and deleted...

The picture was created by myself for VTV Wales. The picture is public domain.

That seems to contradict the copyright notice plainly stated on the corner of the image. —this is messedr͏ocker (talk) 21:35, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Public domain images don't have copyright messages on them. If you don't want me to know your email address because you think I'm some evil dude then pick another administrator. If they tell me you've contacted them from a credible email address and allowed them to verify your right to release the material through the TV station's legal department then I'll give you a big apology. Until then I'll revert to being 5 years old and yell liar, liar, pants on fire! at you. :-P
Oh, and you've still to deal with the fact that you issued a legal threat against me, I'm not the 12-year old who blocked the U.S. Senate from editing Wikipedia... I do have a lawyer. --Brian McNeil / talk 21:37, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Side note...[edit]

On a complete side note, who are VTV? I couldn't find anything in Google for VTV or the parent company Studio Tiblu LLC. (which is strange because how do people find out about it???) --R2b2 21:33, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

VTV[edit]

VTV is a subscription-only iPTV channel which was launched in March 2006. VTV currently provides news, current affairs and lifestyle programming to over 115,000 customers, both resident in the south Wales area and ex-patriates. The channel is due to launch on the SkyDigital platform in October.

All of the station's current advertising is focussed on local newspaper, independent local radio and billboard advertising. Google and other search engine-based advertising is likely to be used before the end of this month.

Studio Tiblu LLC is the parent company of VTV and is based in the United States. The company currently owns a number of iPTV channels around the world and is predominantly involved in the operation of foreign-language and european stations. VTV is the company's only current UK-based channel.

Minor question...[edit]

...what's an "industrial estate" ? 68.39.174.238 03:22, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
