I've been saying this for years, but if the NRA had worked for secure "cryptographic" gun registration, this would never be an issue, i.e. guns should have a unique identifier and a random pad, you should xor your identity with part of the random pad on purchase, and mail it to the fed, then the fed could get all past owners ids when they physically had the gun, but never when they didn't physically have the gun. A trivial compromise to all gun registration issues, totally ignored by the idiots at the NRA. But they are now doomed, this gun collection will be loved by law enformcent, making such a fair and balanced compromise impossible. Bye-bye NRA, you were stupid, but we Americans kinda liked having you around. - Nyarlathotep 19:45, 10 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

This is total crap. Clearly unconstitutional.

2nd Amendment

[edit]

Miller very clearly states there is no individual right to bear arms. The Second Amendment only pertains to powers retained by the individual states. As such, I have removed the inaccurate mentions of the alleged right. Katzenbach 00:05, 14 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry, but Miller applies only to weapons that would not be usefull to a militia member.
