OR[edit]

I emailed Xtra and ihug, they didn't respond and our family got a letter in the mail from Xtra about the new plan/speed changes. And also this website: http://xtraplans.co.nz/unleashed/. --Nzgabriel | Talk 07:07, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Xtra site fails to disclose the maximum data rate anywhere. I followed every link I could find. They all led to either a statement that certain account types ran at "Max" speed (undefined), or to discussions, without numbers, of variations due to distance from switch and other factors.--Mokurai 22:20, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It will be limited by the speed of the network. Which for w:ITU_G.992.1[1] is 8 Mb/s. Of course it will be less from these "variations". I'm getting about 5-6 Mb/s connection speed for the modem 4-5 Mb/s local download and 1-2 Mb/s international download. --2mcm 20:58, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

great idea[edit]

When is shaw.ca going to do exactly that ?

Shouldn't the article say megabyte instead of megabit? (7 megabits = .875 megabyte)

I wasn't sure which one it was. --Nzgabriel | Talk 04:11, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. The technology doesn't support 7 MBytes/s --Mokurai 22:20, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
