Thanks to user DL+1613 and others for rewriting this article! I was going to come back and rewrite it now but I see it's already been done -- and better than I could have done it! As I said, I'm completely new to Wikinews. Anyway, this is probably moot now, but I wrote much of the Wikipedia article and I hereby license what I wrote under the Wikinews license.
