Spreading of equality

The woman assasinated was a rights activist. Much like the fall of Martin Luther King, Jr., she should be praised for her work. But the assasination here was not motivated by race, but rather by belief, by religion. This is something that people who don't understand fanatical religion must attempt to grasp if they have any hope for influencing countries like Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, etc., to become more equal when it comes to minorities rights (starting with women). The religious variable is much more difficult to overcome than that of race.
