- Agreed, but unfortunately it seems "***" is all the link provides...I'm stumped for three-letter ephitets...ass? Jew? Even w:Offensive_terms_per_nationality#Jews is no help. Sherurcij refusing to add Original Reporting until PD Articles are allowed 23:22, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Can the victim really be called a holocaust survivor if he left Germany before the holocaust began? (This is not flame bait, I'm just curious)

- I don't see any reference to her being a Holocaust survivor. Am I missing something? --Quadrastreet 23:47, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- I just checked out the National Post article, and it does state the Mr. Schwarz was a Holocaust survivor. Yes, having left in 1938 I'm not 100% sure if you'd call him a Holocaust survivor. There were certainly concentration camps as early as 1938, but extermination camps were not in full swing until the early 40's. I can't find in Wiki a precise definition of when the Holocaust started. At the very least, Mr. Schwarz escaped extreme danger by leaving Germany as late as 1938. --Quadrastreet 23:56, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Bowmanville POW Camp
[edit]Why is there all the content about the Bowmanville POW Camp? At the most, there should just be a one line reference saying that there was a German POW Camp in Bowmanville during WW2. --Quadrastreet 23:43, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

Police called to investigate after tenant draws swastikas in landlord's house..There are errors in the Wiki Story that have bothered me for a long time..So, I am glad I can correct them.. am
[edit]My name is Alan Schwarz and I am Marion Schwarz's son not husband...Her husband was Joe Schwarz...My parents didn't live in the house, and my Dad wasn't bringing her a gift for their 40th Wedding Anniversary...He bought her the house for her 40th Wedding Anniversary and she rented it out to people who she thought could use a helping hand..The Schwarz's have been in the cattle business in Bowmanville since 1938 and the Antique business was a hobby of my Mothers..It was a clear Hate Crime..When someone writes Kill The Jews it isn't a love letter.Who cares about the POW camp in Bowmanville during the Second War it had nothing to do with the destruction of my Mom's house..Finally, we did lose family members in the Holocaust, my Great Grandmother Sarah was one of them, but my Dad and Grandparents, a Great Aunt and a Great Uncle and my Uncle Carl were able to get out and come to Canada. The family settled in Bowmanville and we have enjoyed a great life in Canada. The incident on September 4th, 2007 was a horrible crime and I am still sorry that nobody was ever held accountable.
