Comment[edit]

Article says that the doctor is "seen prying a bullet" which is complete speculation on behalf of the author. It's more likely a fragment of a flash bang grenade. Also.. no one has ever verified that it was a bullet and no one has this bullet? --68.41.80.161 (talk) 22:47, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is as per secondary sources. Cirt (talk) 22:56, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It can clearly be seen in Whale Wars footage that the object pried from the vest is in fact definitely not a bullet. This is a cropped frame capture from Whale Wars showing the object: http://img375.imageshack.us/img375/5048/object.jpg If someone that knows how to do these sorts of things could then add the image to the article that would be great. 81.147.63.24 (talk) 20:53, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hostage taking[edit]

The statement about the Japanese taking SS crew members hostage is incorrect. The SS crewers boarded the whaler entirely of their own volition and were detained by its crew for lack of any other choice when the SS ship left without them. SS founder and leader Paul Watson has since publicly stated that it was a hoax. 74.59.13.194 (talk) 04:47, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
